If you’ve stumbled upon my blog, it’s not just a coincidence. Either you’re really looking for clarity in life or you know importance of clarity in life and you want more of it.
As they Say:
Clarity is Power!!
Here is a simple guide on how to gain clarity in life.
1. Stop saying I don’t have clarity!
Yup! Every word you say or think, you are literally creating that in your life.
So first of all, stop telling your friends, family, and above all, yourself that you are not sure or clear about what you want in life, which direction to go, what to do, etc. I am sure you know what I mean.
Focus exactly on what you want, not on what you don’t want. Right!
So all you want is – Clarity!!
Then say and affirm exactly that to yourself, like this:
I am working towards gaining clarity.
Every step I take is moving me towards more clarity.
Every person I meet is helping me become more clear.
Every prayer, every blessing, every affirmation, chanting, meditation, my guardian angels (or whichever God and higher power you believe in) are helping me to gain more clarity.
A radical shift is happening in my life – from chaos to clarity :))
2. Take 100% Responsibility for your clarity!
Only positive thinking, prayer, and goal setting will not help you to gain clarity, you must take action now.
Make a list of all the resources you need to get clear about what you really want.
Find out who can help you – people, books, places, institutes whatever support you need; Do your homework.
Make a list and start approaching them one by one. Just keep going. If one thing doesn’t work, try another.
3. Ask for help!
If you are not sure who can help you to get clarity, ask for help from a mentor or someone who has knowledge and experience about what you are looking for. Ask for their guidance for clarity of direction, if they’re willing to help you.
You only get what you ask for!
You can take the help of a life coach or counselor as well.
4. Write Down. Write down. Write down!
I can’t emphasize it enough. It’s an age-old advice if you write down every day what your thoughts and desires are, you’ll get 100% clarity. The truth is very rarely do people practice this technique.
Start journalling your thoughts first thing in the morning preferably, – ‘morning pages’, as described by Julia Cameron in her book “Artist’s Way”.
That declutters your mind and naturally helps bring more clarity to you.
5. Ask yourself the right questions!
There are no right or wrong answers in life, though there are right and wrong questions.
For example: questions like – what’s the problem with me?
Why my life is not working the way I want? – not great questions.
Look at these questions now:
What are my highest desires and priorities in life?
What do I want to experience in my life?
What kind of relationships do I want in my life?
What steps can I take to make all these happen in my life?
What do I need to change or improve in me, in order to make it my reality?
Better questions. Right!
The questions that shift you towards a solution mindset will help you to get clear on what you want.
6. Start with one area of your life at a time!
If you’re focussing on too many things at a time, it can be chaotic and overwhelming. This can scatter your energy and leave you drained and feeling incapable of not doing enough.
Start with just one goal or area of your life. Put the whole of your focus on that goal, get crystal clear about what to do, and get comfortable about the steps.
Keep taking action till you get some good results clearly. Only then do you start thinking of clarity for the next area or goal?
7. Meditation / Silence!
Last but not least, Sit with yourself in silence and trust. Trust you already have clarity.
Sit for 20-30 minutes and observe your thoughts. Let them come and go.
Do not resist, do not entertain. When your thoughts wander, gently come back to yourself, to the silence.
Experience yourself in the subtle gaps between your thoughts. Do not rush to reach a conclusion fast.
Have an unwavering faith and you’ll find an answer in your own time for what you’re looking for.
When you do get clear about your path, just go for it! Do not overanalyze it.
For you,
much love.
