She hugged me tight every night when I put her to bed and told me “You are the Best mother in the world.” Even if I scold you, order, lecture and shout at you many times? I asked her. “Yes, whatever you do, you are the best”, she said in an angelic voice and hugged me even tighter so she could really fill every fibre of my soul with her love.
I love you, I said and she immediately responded; I love you even more than you do. Why? I asked “Because you’re the best, mummy”. And I kept on wondering am I really that good as a mother?
I try to be, yet I fail many times and I try again to be a good mum. My inner critic started voicing all the times I lost my patience, my tolerance, where I chose to speak instead of just listening, and many more.
The next night, when she told me the same thing again, I heard this little voice (a whisper from a corner of my heart), “You are always doing your best as a mum. Every mother is the best mother to her child.” She just needs to stay connected with her inner truth of love and joy in her heart.
[tweetherder]Voice of wisdom does not shout, just whispers that we are enough, if we are really listening.
What shouts is the EGO and tells us, we and others are never good enough!
I smiled and told my angel, you’re the best daughter in the world. Thank you so much for coming into my life! I am so blessed to have you. You filled my heart with your love and I know I will never be alone now.
She smiled with wet eyes and hugged me even tighter and said, “And you’re the best!”
Have you told your little one, she / he is the best child in the world and how grateful you are to have them?
Have you listened to your little love voice recently? Please share your experience, I would love to hear from you!
Much Love.
