Are you stuck in the drama of life? Do you see others behaving or acting in ways not pleasing to you, circumstances not in your favour, things you had not expected from life or them?
When all that is happening, you create a story of pain and suffering, of despair and hurt, of grief and loss. You start believing in your story so badly that it becomes your reality.
Now what? Either you can keep on living your story or you wake up to change your story.
It takes a higher level of awerness to challenge the story your mind wants you to believe. To go beyond your beliefs, beyond what seems to be so obvious and real.
As Albert Einstein once said
“Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.”
Only when you are ready to dig deeper, you’ll see how every person, circumstance and event in your life is shaping you and taking you towards your highest potential. When you really listen and go deep into the positive intentions of others actions and words, you’ll realise everything in life is working for you not against you, always.
The truth is – ‘only love is real’, the rest is an illusion that our mind wants us to believe.
The interesting thing about our beliefs is that they don’t let us see anything that is not in sync with them. As rightly said:
Your eyes only see what your mind believes.
The moment you start changing the way you look at things, the things you are looking at, start changing.
So how can we really start seeing the truth of love, by self-inquiry and practice…
The first quality we can practice is empathy which is to go really deep into others psyche, to see the positive intention, irrespective of their behaviour which might be the opposite of their intention .
This is actually very common just like a mother who might scold her child badly to eat healthy food or put on warm clothes in cold, only out of love. The child might not feel the love in that moment, instead of mother’s loving intention .
As an audult we can do better than a child who might get angry with the mother. Understand and empathise with the person, look past there behaviour, and feel the deep intention of love and care.
Second quality is mindfulness, which is the capability to be fully present in the moment. When we are present to our own mind, emotions and others beliefs and emotions too in that moment; we start gaining control over our emotions and judgments.
We can then challenge our own thoughts or behaviour patterns to bring a desired change.
Every human being has an enormous capacity to love, be compassionate and mindful. We just need an awareness and commitment to work on self.
We can build the capability to be loving in the moments when it is difficult to love as well, “Because only love is real.”
